Yamada doesnt have to retire. He has to stop continue boxing like he does now or he will face health issues. But the only point is that he fights like this because he wanted to rush his fight against Ippo by fear of seeing him going outside his reach (Japan Ranking). So, if Naomichi wants to continue fighting after this one, he would probably stops fighting recklessly and it would kill the issue before it's one

2020-07-12 20:13:21 +0000 UTCI'm at the very first minute of the video. I don't know if it's the subs issue or what, but the "retiring" question for Hammer Nao is a completely different thing. He HAS to retire, because of the constant beating he takes in every match and risks permanent unrecoverable health damage if he continues to box. The punishment he takes on in matches is not something you can just "sleep off".
