EARLY ACCESS JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5 Episode 39 Reaction

EARLY ACCESS JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5 Episode 39 Reaction

Comments

Well... here we are. Stone Ocean is confirmed and is probably gonna come out this year and I hope they pick it up immediately so we all can watch alongside em'.

James Ancester

Hope you guys react to the Rohan OVAs!

John Yap

Well they've already seen Fate/Zero and Unlimited Blade Works at the very least. But I'd be down for reactions to the remaining Nasuverse material that they haven't seen. Favorite franchise, honestly.

Ace of Blades

Here's to hoping we do get Part 6: Stone Ocean sometime! I fell behind on that manga and a bunch of anime when Ghost of Tsushima came out XD

JsnSkg

Are you aware there are some Rohan OVAs, as well? You can most likely find it as "Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan," and there are 4 episodes worth of side-stories focusing on Rohan's encounter with supernatural events.

Jesse Deitsch

God, hearing them speculate about the next part makes me want to see them read the manga so bad. It's unlikely though since it Part 6 isn't legally obtainable in english, and they might prefer to hold out for an anime adaption.

Emmanuel

been a ride. some of the commentary and wild theorizing annoyed me at times, but I genuinely appreciate the chance to get to see two people's detailed impressions and thoughts about the anime i personally find most fascinating to watch. so long, space cowboys.

Jermaine Tito

So sad it had ended! I would love to see you reacting to Rohan's ovas. Also would looooove to know their opinion about Purple Haze Feedback. I know it is not canon, but it is so good imo. It feels like a closure for Fugo's character.

Sandias

And now, a 15 year old boy becomes leader of a criminal organisation spanning all of Italy.

RoboArmadillo13

I've been a patron since before you started Jojo's. Been a wild ride fellas.

CastSenpai

So if you go back to the first OP of part5, there is so much imagry of the fate idea. A bunch of chains symbolizing fate turning into vines representing giornos power altering fate, the rock falling and breaking etc. Also Scolipi(the rolling stones stand user) is visually heavily representing Jesus, a thorn shaped crown, two bullets going through his hand representing putting up on the cross etc. Also also, the whole thing about Michelangelo carving fate out of rocks, the rocks having a per-determined shape and the carver just has to find it. Araki commonly says that when he writes characters, he will fill out their background and experiences and put them in a situation and at a certain point the characters will act out of his control. Even if he wants to write the story a certain way, the characters will act in a way that makes sense to them. In a way the fictional characters that he is creating move within their own fate based off of the base parameters he gives them. Kinda interesting.

Mark Swan

Gosh. I've been watching since Part 2. Seeing you guys go from the soft start of Part 1, to the absolutely hype ending of Part 2, to the world-building of Part 3, the great characters of Part 4 and the further evolution of franchise in Part 5 has been an amazing experience for me.

Vincent

This great journey has ended and now we need a proper replacement. So... the Fate franchise and rest of Nasuverse?

Minashiro Soushi

That’s the joke.

SuperTallBird

part6: fate is standing on my side!

tommm tang

Requiem denied him of defying fate. And made a joke of him. He skipped the pitfalls of himself and now has to "live" with the lesson over and over and over again. To me Giorno and Bruno are reflective of each other. Giorno can defy fate physically. While Bruno defies fate internally, but only of others.

Fing3rP0P

But Golden Experience denies this by making a frog from luggage, Piranhas from bike parts. He can change their destined form. Requiem on the other hand to me personally. Is the denial of defying fate. Diavolo used fate to he's advantage. And ironically enough was someone who literally has he's life crafted by fate. The most truest slave to fate then anyone.

Fing3rP0P

I really liked the theorising at the end here. I'll also add on that Golden Experience does defy fate naturally as it can turn any non living object into a living object. Much like the theme of part 5. That people are fated to die to the fate they are given. A stone that took on it's destined form as described in this episode.

Fing3rP0P

would love if you guys watched the Rohan OVAs next

renren

this was literally the last episode lmao

renren

Can you do two JoJo slots a week please.

SuperTallBird

I loved your reactions

Kalauss

There is also the rumored Purple Haze side story

Teri Armstrong

So you guys aren't going to do Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe?

Teri Armstrong

Nice. Part 6 episode 1 will be one hell of a reaction then

AwfullyFawfully

Ah the end (for now) of the Jojo journey! I was hoping you guys would hop in to the manga so we could see some reactions to Part 6. I know I (and probably a lot of other people) would love to see that. However, if you guys are going to wait for the anime I guess I'll just have to be patient! The JJBA reactions have been my favorite and I'm going to miss them.

Jackie D.

I can’t wait for them to reach part 6 and see how Araki scales the theme of fate to a whole other level.

Bryan Rojas

Maybe we'll get a video of its own about their JoJo journey

EZ

One thing I’m not sure about is if I’m glad or sad that I don’t have to hear them singing the op anymore, it was kinda hilarious tbh... and probably better than me and my horrendous English pronunciation

Man in the Mirror

i was hoping the discussion would be longer tbh

Bob Rutter

Remember all the bullets missing Mista, not just once in the story but twice? It totally makes sense that he would survive to the end.

terminator6969

The end of an ora

Salty Lemon

It's so weird that noone has casually spoiled who the next JoJo is for them. How are they avoiding it? Like they haven't even seen the character design?

jonluke santillana

Part 5 isn't actually the only part with prominent theme of fate (it's going to get even more apparent from here on out). Even when you go back to watch part 1-4 you can still see how much of it was present throughout. Jonathan and Dio being intertwined, the Zeppelis being cursed to sacrifice themselves for the Joestars, Jotaro in a cosmic ironic twist of fate invading DIO, the invader's World. And in part 4, we have Kira, someone blessed with a supernatural amount of good luck, meeting probably the single most cosmic ironic fate thus far.

Jack Dullboy

Are you guys going to watch the Rohan OVAs?

RoBroCrafts

So, the 1st Stone: "Bruno with a hole in his chest" was his death by King Crimson in the chapel. After Mista shot it, it became a Second Stone: "Bruno shot full of bullets", which is how Doppio died. Finally, Mista shattered the stone, and it became the 3rd Stone: "Abbachio, Bruno, and Naranchia lying dead", which lead to the three dying.

godUsoland

Mista's "luck" throughout Part 5 was actually fate as he wasn't fated to die as shown by him not appearing in the stone.

BirthdayParty

Hopefully Part 6 comes out within the next 2 years.

godUsoland

The end of an era

Rachel Thomas

And now the long wait for Part 6 begins..

Thilde

"We are all slaves to Fate".
