Yeah, I've started noticing this too, as time went on. This goes especially bad when the story subtly 'hints' at the correct line, but he completely misses it because of the conflict with "headcanon" at that point.

One thing I've noticed about him while watching this series, is that often times, he will latch onto an idea, and then color everything else in the story to fit with his idea, rather then letting the story tell itself.
