tbh I completely believe the reason her hair colour is different in the flashbacks is because they didnt want people to know its her yet. I mean, she is the only one with that hair colour, would have been a dead giveaway. Plus some people are saying that it wouldnt make sense for her to walk her dog before school, but you have to remember hachiman himself left a full hour earlier that day, meaning it was still well before people usually go to school and we dont know how far away yui lives, nor where the crash was, it could have been 50metres from the school or even 50 metres hachimans house for all we know.

This was the episode I was waiting for, and your reaction and discussion on it didn't disappoint. With the kind of past experiences he's gone through, you can't fault the guy for his trust issues and the barriers he puts on himself to avoid getting hurt or disappointed again. You're absolutely right in regards to how he takes some sort of pride in being alone, since its all he has to feel pride in himself for. His dignity and self confidence has been shattered way too many times so this is the outcome and the kind of character he is. Hachiman is one of my fav anime protagonists and characters in general due to his character and the arc he goes on. Unlike most romcom anime MC's he has a personality. He has past experiences, he has specific character flaws and good aspects of himself that makes him a good character. Someone we can sympathise with and follow on this journey through youth.

Just putting this out t here... But why did Yui come to the club in the first place? It was so she could learn how to make sweets for someone... What did Hikki's sister say the 'mystery' girl was going to do to thank him for saving her dog? Give him sweets. Whose opinion was Yui interested in when she made the sweets? She specifically asked Hikki when she made the failed cookies if the feelings behind the cookies would reach him... She has been trying to get closer to him since the very start.

I watched this episode in Korean subtitle and wondered how are they gonna translate this into English. (Korean and Japanese share kinda similar phrases and something like that, so it is easier to translate). And then I read the subtitles on your reaction videos. Wow, that translating was beautifully done, especially the monolog of Hachiman in the end.

I have no idea where they got the "Yui had different hair color" from. Maybe they should go back and watch the flashback scene. EDIT: After a lenghty discord conversation I realized the TV version and the Bluray version have different hair color... so yeah.

My favorite part in this episode is when the teacher tries to step in and just gets absolutely destroyed and Hachiman's like, "Someone, please just marry her already!" XD
