Whitley is what Weiss was in the first half of volume 1. If you didn't think Weiss a bit of a bitch back then... well then I question what you were watching. Now personally, Weiss was my favorite from the start, despite her being a bit of a bitch. I found it attractive. But it was still fact.

2020-12-22 23:26:03 +0000 UTCSomething I like about Whitley's development this volume is that he seems influenced by Ruby at every step of the way. Ruby is the one that got him to calm down and even offer to help when they first brought Nora there, he seemed to be contemplating things while listening to Ruby's message sent out by the Amity Coliseum, and here, Whitley was probably in part motivated by hearing Ruby's speech.

2020-12-22 06:24:43 +0000 UTCSo interesting fact this mid season finale wasn't structured with a break in mind since this was written quite awhile ago but I feel like it fits perfectly imo. Also to clarify the next chapter is released on February 6th. Going to be a long break but hey if they keep this quality up then this might be the best volume imo. Lastly Eddy Rivas one of the writers mentioned on twitter that this was the tame half which yeah that's a thing.

2020-12-21 12:51:45 +0000 UTCI think with Ren's semblance, it's all about hidden emotions. He can hide emotions of himself and others, and now he see the emotions that people are keeping hidden. Hare's rage, Marrow's sadness. His own was pink, so I think that will be his love for Nora that he's keeping 'in check'. Winter is keeping everything under the surface.
