2021-01-06 10:19:13 +0000 UTCyou know people can see the potential of yuri and still find other meaning in the show. it's doesn't have to be one or the other. in fact, these guys go in great length about why this show is good without bringing up the yuri. but the two girls in question are in the main cast and their friendship developing is a big part of the anime. seems silly to skip over that

Like c'mon, the show has two seasons (a 3rd one most likely in-making), two movies, they are still at s01ep08, let them find out by themselves how the relationships between the characters will evolve... Yamada herself when being interviewed and asked about whether she was aware that this scene could be interpreted in "that" way, she replied "that’s okay. They’ll understand later.”

Also, the piece that Kumiko and Reina played is called "The Place Where We Found Love"
