I voted for Promised Neverland and after watching the latest episode...I regret that vote. It'll be interesting to see if the bros are able to sense that it is anime original if that is kept from them... And indeed, hopefully it doesn't suck and future episodes are better. So far I'm disappointed with the the behavior of many groups (the kids and the pursuers) being very illogical. And disappointed with the constant running as recently seen in the last episode. Edit: I also wonder if me having been spoiled about it being anime original is coloring my experience and making me be more critical (even though I still don't know how things went down in in the manga).

According to the message, all three will be on Saturday. I am only a little confused as I don't see why they could not start one of them up after Attack on Titan finishes (if they just want more time, I suppose that's fine but it just feels unclear). Of course this is assuming that slime does not end up replacing it instead, which feels like it would have made more sense to put them all in this poll if that was the case. I know you don't generally respond to comments, but if I were to say something constructive, I kind of wish there was news tab in either the discord or patreon that kept us posted on what your plans were on these situations. I am in the discord but don't check it much. For instance, everyone knew this season was coming for a long time and, while you might have said something in the discord, I had no clue what your plan was until this poll a few episodes into this season. This isn't a massive critique, I would just find it very helpful (cases like you starting Re:zero and your plan with less look forward to shows like Slime). Hope you see this, just giving my thoughts

I can't watch either Beastars or TPN until they show up on a service I have access to. So far, neither is on Netflix or Crunchyroll, so I'm out of luck.

While I absolutely love Beastars, trying to watch it right now would be a pain in the ass because of Netflix. So hopefully it stays in 2nd, should give it enough time for the season to end and have good subtitles (Looking at you, 'Hexeye')

I think it's a good idea to dedicate polls to the particular genre, length, and stuff like that. It helps to keep your content fresh and diverse and will attract more people. That answers my question. Appreciate the explanation!

Yeah Jacob and I usually can feel when want a specific genre/length anime, and thus fill the next poll with things that fill certain criteria. That's how almost all polls go. This poll was slightly different just because we needed this slot to only be filled with one cour options due to behind the scenes stuff.

Log Horizon has a different poll that it'll go on. That previous one being its first time on any of our polls, it won't return to a poll for at least a couple months.

Exactly. They are perfectly fine to watch whatever they want, but if they tell us that our votes matter they should reflect that in the polls OR tell us how their choices come together so we can understand better. It feels like they ignore their audience sometimes.

I don't think we should discuss their opinion about anime. If they are watching anime just because people asked ( for money) or if they want to get advice from the audience, they should use anime from old polls. If they are watching it for their enjoyment, they shouldn't give an option to pick animes they are not interested in. I can imagine that they watched it without recording, or they are asking the audience to write options for the poll, and people are not suggesting it for the second time. It's just weird for me that our choice is so inconsistent. I don't care if anime was good or not.

I mean, they are human beings that may have lost interest or just don't want to react to a certain anime. I think It's better for them not to put an anime they feel they might not like in a poll rather than put it in, it winning and they hating reacting to it.

I was really into fruit's basket right up until the finale, the finale single handedly dropped it from an 8 to a 6 for me, only reason I haven't gotten around to seeing season 2 yet. I really want to give it a second chance, so if they do ever react to it, I'll likely check out season 2 then.

Hello! I have a question about polls. Why aren't animes from previous polls moving to the next polls? For example, in the Grand Blue Replacement Poll, where Dorohedoro won, second place got only 3 votes less. They did 3 polls after that but didn't include this anime. Does that mean that Bros don't want to watch it, or is there a system for that? Please, explain it to me! Thank you.

I don't think we need to indict anyone here; we could certainly make an argument that the furry community is searching for acceptance in a similar fashion to the LGBT community, but I don't think Deku was attacking anyone. We need to be able to have open discussions about these kind of things if we ever want to get past the "squick" or "weird out" factor. I also understand this could very easily be uncomfortable for people because most of (America's at least) exposure to anthropomorphism has been Disney, and juxtaposing that experience with Beastars is strange if you're not sure going in. In the end, I really encourage everyone to try to get past the anthropomorphism (and personally I think the CG is georgeous #landofthelustrous #studioorange) and I think I hard disagree with "writing doesn't mean enjoyment" but these are all opinions, and we can still all be friends.

As others have said, choosing Beastars is a bit risky at the moment. Fansub groups can certainly fall behind and not having a true, official way to watch it seems a bit weird. So I'd pick from the other two for the number 1 spot. (even if Beastars is my personal number 1) Also, I love this method of doing sequels. Great way to do it!

I'm not saying it isn't good. I am just saying I don't see it as an enjoyment to watch. Clearly it has some fantastic writing but I like to enjoy my anime and I do not really see Beastars as enjoyable. That is only my opinion of course but I also don't like CGI to top it off which is what it seems like this series only uses. But I don't find animal sex to be something I vibe with. Honestly human sex would be better to me than animal sex. I am a human after all.

@Deku Would you have been fine with it if it was just human characters? In my opinion that would cheapen the series; the story is as effective as it is because we can examine themes and allegories for real life one layer removed through the anthropomorphic characters and their seemingly distant but actually close-by struggles with predation and animal instinct. Beastars is definitely my favorite anime in recent memory; depending on how season 2 does I might consider it a classic. But certainly to each his own.
