She must have been feeling down that her latest attempt to bond with boji failed and been thinking while looking at the sky. I just love little bits of consistent storytelling like that. It makes the world feel organic and lived in and you can tell the author has a very clear vision of what happened in the past, doesn't reveal everything just yet, but writes the story as if it happened and then only reveals the full backstory later. I just love that kind of storytelling.

2022-10-06 19:17:27 +0000 UTCSmall detail I missed on the first time, but the dress Queen Hiling wore on in the flashback when she learned sign language to try and talk to Boji is the same one she was wearing when she saved him from, and then healed, the two headed snake. Then the next time we see her in the flashback she's already bonded with Boji and Dorsch asked "when did this happen?" I'm wondering if that's just a small piece of visual story telling that shows it was right after that sign language attempt that the bonding incident happened? Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but cool consistency if true. I also love how much ya'll are enjoying this show!
