If you really enjoy those moments of characters just being themselves and interacting with each other I can't recommend the Slime Diaries spin-off enough, that's basically 2/3 of what Slime Diaries is. What was adapted of Slime Diaries is set during the 1st season, between the Orc Lord (ep.14) and Charybdis (ep.18). It does a really great job of fleshing the characters out and adding in the depth that was lost in transition from LN to anime if not even more in some cases. The other 1/3 is more nation building and world building.
