Y'all misunderstood slightly. It's not "and now we don't have to do any more" it's "the plan is advancing, the day when we're both stuck away from each other for virtually ever waging a war not our own" because even with the night creatures doing the gruntwork, and a support staff strewn throughout the area they control, Striga would have to constantly be out in the field managing all of that, and Moranna back home doing all the office work. They go from 24/7 together to barely seeing each other, and what's that worth when you have eternity already?
