i just hope that whichever way they go, they at least leave the subs in.. whenever they watch english shows, i struggle to hear what the show is saying due to the way they mix the sounds.. end up watching a ton of shows at other reaction channels and only skimming thru SOS's highlights instead...

I'm basically a sub purist and I think the dub for Edgerunners is really freaking good. It's hard for me to watch most dubs but I did not feel like Edgerunners' dub detracted from the experience at all.

I know a lot of other people are already saying it, but when you watch Edgerunners I really hope you guys watch it with the dub. Or at least compare the two and decide for yourselves. I almost always prefer sub over dub, but this show is an exception. It really helps nail down the feel of the setting.

Of course hearing the game's slang enhances the experience, it is an important part of the world of cyberpunk. The Dub also has great overall voice performance. I'm not saying Sub is bad, but the Dub has a few advantages over it. For Example, just listen to Gloria's voice, the accent is fully missing from the Sub. You can hate on anime Dubs as much as you want, but you are lying if you say the Cyberpunk Dub is any worse than the Sub.

I'm not biased, I just don't think getting to hear a slang word from a game Jacob hasn't even played once in a while is going to enhance the experience as much as just having a great overall voice performance.

Not a sub-snob by any means and canonically English makes more sense for Night City but some of the dialogue felt clunky in the sub to me. Watched it through both ways and have to say I liked the sub cast better.

Its trigger man, a japanese studio. And cyberpunk is heavily rooted in a western capitalist society with HEAVY japanese themes and aesthetic anyways. Also as someone whos watched most of the stuff on this poll. Edgerunners is just tops personally. The writing level, animation, and short but deep complex story. The idea that on SOS page theres some sort of bias from the audience is insane when you look at the mass amount of shows they put out that have little to no western recognition, backing, and notoriety. Crazy.

And I know it's not really the bros' typical thing, but reminder that the dub is definitely the more optimal viewing experience in this case.

Bottom 3 are all amazing but cyberpunk will absolutely win no contest. We need Vinland Saga season 2 it's been amazing so far and as a manga reader this season will absolutely outdo the first season. I know the bros wait until a season is finished usually but hopefully Vinland happens sooner than later and one day Golden Kamuy as well.
