(ALSO SPOILERS OBV) Are you sure you're not just bothered you got completely bamboozled and started believing in the empathy-generating theatrics of the greatest scam? (One that SAVES kids from child trafficking through sacrifcing one of their own group with the burden of getting involved.) It does no imploding at all, the structure is the same except the MC gets twice as interesting and the scam itself much more intricate. I think you disappointed yourself through misreading the show.

(SPOILERS) All stakes evaporate, down to literally even the tragic backstory character being retroactively un-killed. The MC is fully complicit in child trafficking for months (without ever knowing or thinking that it was part of any other scheme) and is never held accountable for his decisions by the narrative or other characters. The show tries to tackle serious topics but tackles them with the tact of a Saturday morning cartoon. It completely implodes.

I know this won’t happen, but I have to say it anyways: if you watch Great Pretender, please, stop after the third arc/end of “season 1”. Spare yourself. The show slowly falls apart so thoroughly in its final arc/“season 2” that it’s downright depressing (and not in a fun kind of way).

Haven't seen any of these. Given my childhood obsession with skateboarding, I'll go for SK8. Golden Kamuy sounds cool too. Been a while since I've watched a straight up adventure show. Hopefully next poll will have Overlord. It's a great genre match for Slime but darker. Bros will probably like the RPG/DnD elements as well.
