Nah, I agree with you. Not a huge deal, people get confused, but I'm pretty confident Thorfinn mentally is genuinely not afraid of dying at all

2023-04-02 01:19:36 +0000 UTCMaybe I am wrong but I don't think thorfinn reacting to snake and snake saying his body still wants him to live is the exact same thing as what you two were saying where he is afraid to die. Thorfinn can not be afraid of death but also have his own body tell him that it wants to live. Maybe I am pushing it too much but unless someone helps me out and explains a little better I don't see those two things being connected. Wanting to live is not the same thing as being afraid of death. Don't know why they really twisted it up like that. Its just a nitpick for me. I could be trying to separate the two a little too much.

2023-04-02 00:29:05 +0000 UTCJust one point: The subjugation of England took around ten years. And Askeladds Band took part in it on and of as Mercenaries. Thorfinn even had his first kill in England. Thorfin has grown up killing the English on the side of the Danes his whole life he was with Askeladd( besides some trips like France or Askeladds Home in Jutland/Denmark during the winter). Most people Thorfin killed weren't shown in the show because the whole business with Thorkell and Canute was just a small tiny snipped at the end of his life as a warrior
