The author made one tweet saying something to the effect of "I've got to hurry!" in response to the next season announcement. Everything else is pure speculation

2023-04-02 23:56:28 +0000 UTCTo be fair, a sequel was announced pretty quickly after season 1 ended as well, even though it took years for them to release Dawn of the Deep Soul. It’s probably just meant as confirmation that they intend to continue to series once there’s enough material to do so.

2023-04-02 23:19:38 +0000 UTCI wouldn't be hopeful of that turning out good...even if the mangaka is involved. I'd rather let him have time to think on the story, even if it takes years, for the sake of a potential masterpiece being ruined by anime original content.

2023-04-02 23:18:28 +0000 UTCone thing i really love about this season is how the song 'Gravity' bookends the season, playing first when the ganja first see the island in the first episode, then starts playing for the second time when Reg asks Faputa to join them on their adventure in the final episode.

2023-04-02 21:37:18 +0000 UTCNot that much, season 3 is already in the works. Or at least a "new content". My guess is that, since the manga doesnt go fast enough, they'll continue the story with a new, anime exclusive, season. Or maybe a movie. Probably with the help of the author.
