I spent a couple of years working as a cook in a nursing home. In places like that, they have a specific wing of the building for those suffering with dementia, Alzheimer's, etc. There was a certain gentleman there who thought I was his son every single time he saw me. And we saw eachother often, as i was the one bringing them food. Eventually, I didn't have the heart for anymore "I'm sorry, sir, I'm not your son." so I just kind of played along. It was legitimately the most heartbreaking experience of my entire life and I will never forget him. I can't even begin to imagine what it was like for him. But his son never visited and i guess i just thought...y'know...maybe I could give him a little bit of sunshine every now and then. He deserved at least that much. Sorry Im rambling now i'm gonna go cry.

She has been the constant through thread for the first season, so for her to pass this way, naturally without the knockers involvement kicks off a new journey in parallel to the first episode, very beautiful storytelling.
