2022-05-12 17:51:27 +0000 UTCJust a reminder, the scenes from the OVA were actually "cut" from the movie and occur during the same time frame as the events in the movie. The producers chose to narrow the focus the movie to the Akihiko x Ugetsu x Haruki plot, so they removed these scenes. Plus covid had an affect on the movie's production. The song that Mafuyu sung in the OVA was the same song they played at CAC and where we see come scenes before and after the CAC. At the point we are approaching the conclusion of the current arc in the manga, which would allow us enough content for a season 2. Given is HUGE both in Japan and outside, so there is enough popularity for the producers to consider a season 2. The OVA was released along with Volume 7 of the Manga last November.
