I always hated watching the end of this episode, having been in this same position myself a few times in the last 7 years hurts. I've lost friends and ultimately the relationships never worked out anyways, it just sucks when 3 girls like you, you painfully choose one knowing the other 2 clearly like you, they distance themselves and then it's a massive OOF. I love how the show shows all of this in such a natural and realistic way though, there's no outright rejection, and he's not even dating anyone, yet the 3 girls who consciously like him most are forced to realise "it" at that moment. :(
