no, Yusuke killed him. lol he was not only willing, he did. They said in the episode, the doctor could leave his territory if he wanted to and have it remain up. they wanted to make it absolutely necessary for Yusuke to kill him because they want him to break at the guilt. But Yusuke isn't the type of guy that would break over that type of thing. Genkai restarted his heart and brought him back. don't mistake it. Yusuke did what he had to. It's incredibly important this part that comes into play later. for his character at least.
