I agree they're consistently under estimating of Tanjiro is a tad a annoying, sure he is out matched but what choice does he have? Running away? How would that work? She is clearly very fast and had range. Also yelling out for help? Bad plan this place is populated he is more likely to draw out some citizens into the fray. He has no idea where they are or what Uzui's power really is or how it differs. He knows Zenitsu has superior hearing but he is MAI as far as Tanjiro knows. He has to fight and do his best, he knows Sun Breathing is the OG technique and he can use it but he has far from mastered it. Also thank you for stating Sun Breathing is not flame breathing just to make sure there is no confusion there.

I do disagree with most takes of tanjiro being dumb and not getting punished for it. what exactly is he supposed to do? For all he knows Uzui inosuke and zenitsu are no where close by, which they aren’t they’re literally underground. Giving his back to the demon and running away would most definitely mean nothing but his death. all though the demon is definitely being cocky and playing with him at this point, that’s nothing new for this series literally all of the demons have this tendency. As for Calebs point on Tanjiro trying to use Rengokus flame breathing techniques, that’s not the case, he states several times hinokami kagura while using his attacks, all his hinokami kagura attacks are indeed his father inherited sun breathing technique. still a great reaction just think you guys are severely underestimating Tanjiros abilities, there was a 4 month time skip too be aware of as well.
