The demon slayer leader (Kagaya Ubuyashiki) Is under an inherited curse, not Gyutaro's poison. I suppose seeing as they came from the same source (Muzan) that they are connected. I don't think he has ever left the safety of the compound he lives in.

I woukd still call it magic. Douma can create ice anywhere within a vicinity which has no body part connection. There's also Rui creating white threads then only making red threads later on which none of bleed. I really agree about the power system! I just feel like some demons definitely step put of the pseudoscience range into just straight up magic. I mean even Gyutaro made his blood Sickles just float in the air for like a minute without moving so that alone is just straight up telekinesis or levitation

I'm surprised you didn't pick up on the fact that over the course of the series that Nezuko's fire cannot hurt humans; only demons. Rui's threads, Enmu's dream ropes, and even Daki herself during their fight. Nezuko's fire ONLY affects demons. Therefore, it will just burn everything demon out of a person if she lights them on fire, i.e. Gyutaro's poison.

In the discussion they brought up potential problems of Nezuko having healing powers but she can’t actually heal people. When she first uses her blood art against Rui (spider demon boy) he remarks about how the flames only burns demon blood and not Tanjiro. That is shown again in the mugen train when Nezuko wakes Tanjiro from the dream state. She uses her power to burn the demon blood that was infused into the ticket that put them to sleep and that breaks the spell. All the demon’s “magic” is actually just an application of how demons have unnatural control of their body parts like how Muzan controls his blood inside other demons or how Daki controls her ribbons which are actually just a morphed part of her body (which is why they bleed). That means the poison Gyutaro uses is actually just his blood attacking the people he infects from the inside and since Nezuko’s fire only ignites demon blood that is how she nullified the poison. I actually really like the power system of the demons and how it more like pseudoscience than pure magic. Muzan even mentions how demons are aware of things like genes and blood types which humans don’t know about yet in the 1910’s (when demon slayer takes place). A bit of a rant but I just wanted to share my take on the topic.
