Being literal is boring and sometimes clunky, but idiots inserting their own bullshit into a story and trying to call it "localizing" is not something anyone wants either. That's probably just the result of people localizing being so out of touch that they assume everyone just agrees with their mentality so they do shit like intentionally mistranslate or add in irrelevant dialogue just for fun or to preach some inane message.

2022-07-17 19:28:05 +0000 UTCFunfact: Swallowtail is a real wig shop in Ikebukuro, the mangaka is doing some special chapters in the manga telling her experience when visiting places or interviewing other ppl for references to the manga. The managers in Swallowtail let her take pictures of the place and even use it in her manga. There are a lot of other places in the manga where she did the same, it's really cool.
