the burning of toys and a child's stuff is supposed to happen WITHOUT THE CHILD PRESENT, holy crap. You can kindly and compassionately explain it to the kid later, without even mentioning it was actually burned. Your toy was sadly sick, went to toy heaven, here's a new one. he could even afford a new one. also, she probably realized BoJack's story is fake because she never knew what ice-cream tastes like. and he didn't know she never had ice-cream.

guys, i wish you talked about how you told your viewers(or BoJack) to commit s**ide at the end of season 3. It really was not okay for you to say that about someone who wasn't even to rehab or to therapy yet. (and also not about anyone who was.) It is not okay to tell us that we should end things in similar situations.

Yeah, a great detail. You can see in her eyes that she doesn't have that memory and knows that the nice dream Bojack is trying to tell her is not real.

A masterpiece of an episode. I'm still astonished how well the non-linear and fragmented narrative conveys Beatrice's scrambled memories and deteriorating brain. She can no longer keep her thoughts together. It took me like 3 re-watches to notice all the little hidden details and the visual symbolism. I think the scribble over Henrietta's face is meant to represent a stain in Beatrice's past. Her face is not blurred like the others but instead Beatrice has actively tried to erase her from her memory. It's also pretty evident that she would've been happier with the Corbin Creamerman guy, but because she was already pregnant, she couldn't abort Bojack due to her past trauma about losing her "baby". She's such an incredibly tragic character. I think you might be right about Bojack possibly having some physical issues as well (due to Beatrice's drug use). ADHD was the first that came to mind. My mother didn't use drugs but I have the disorder and unfortunately share quite a few symptoms with Bojack.

If you remember earlier this season, Bojack told Hollyhock how he wished his mom would recognize him so he could tell her off basically. Now he has her right where he wants her, and she has a moment of lucidity where he gets the opportunity to do just that. But instead he chooses to comfort her.

I've seen this episode many times but never noticed Honey at the debutant party before, pushed to the shadows, brilliant.

When baby Bojack wouldn't stop crying and Beatrice says "I tried, he won't eat, I don't know what he wants" very well could've been neonatal abstinence syndrome, Bojack withdrawing from the drugs he consistently got from being in his mother's body.

I'm sure you'll get this a lot, but small detail: Beatrice stumbles trying to remember the taste of ice cream. She wasn't allowed to have it. "Ice cream is for boys," after all.
