It happens sometimes, I know it happens to me often enough (for example: once, a misconception I had was yeeeears ago one of the reasons I refused to read "Naruto" till finally reading it a bit on accident and liking it until not), if it never happens to you, that's great, I guess, but, yeah.

The only reason the Emperor visits his concubines is to 'visit' them or to see his children (in this case, Gyokyou's child), so why would he need guards inside the home? Unless he's paranoid, I see no reason to have guards with him at all times.
