The first comment in this section is talking about how the show skipped a bunch and how the bros should watch a "skipped content" vid on Youtube to get the entire context of the situation. So what do they have to feel vindicated about, again?

2024-05-26 20:43:29 +0000 UTCAgree that there's lots of good stuff here with the girls and Rudjerd,, but also that the beastgirls are the worst part of the show, hah. They aren't even bad characters by themselves; I think the thing is this: This show has a great history of showcasing dark or uncomfortable themes, but it does so in a way that takes them at least a bit seriously. It even sometimes baits you into thinking something is just some anime bullshit and then hits you with the truth much later, i.e. when we see Roxy being molested by her prince tutor and she just fries him likes it's just comedic relief. Later we see how pathological and destructive his behavior actually was to everyone around him. Maybe we'll see such a reframe with these girls later? But I haven't seen it yet. Their actions, and the things Rudeus has done to them, are just passed off like it's supposed to be funny and has no repercussions. The joke is def. that Rudeus is having to deal with underlings that have extremely different values and even instincts to humans, and this causes him grief. But it's not causing him any *real, realistic* grief, so it feels cheap.

That way you don’t proceed through this series with an incorrect perception of what you’re finding fault with. Not that you read these comment sections anyway. People tend to spoil things.
