Konosuba Season 3 Replacement Poll
Added 2024-07-09 22:39:03 +0000 UTCWe're coming up on the end of Konosuba Season 3, so it's time for another poll! As such we'll be getting this poll done in advance, so we all know what's coming next.
Vote for ANY AND ALL shows that you would like to see us react to! We always take note of which shows get plenty of votes, but don't win. Whichever gets the most votes we will release early access reactions on the Friday when the final Konosuba Season 3 reaction goes public.
NOTE: Jacob and I haven't seen any of these shows!

Where the heck are the Uncle from Another World enjoyers? Ascendance is so slow & has mid animation, decent as far as Isekai goes. Eminence is good for its satire & over-the-topness, but the comedy is limited/constrained given the core story of Chuuni MC assuming others are chuuni/acting. MC can't find out others take it seriously, he's always writing it off. Isekai Ojisan blows them out of the water with a much deeper commitment to comedy & satire because the MC takes it seriously while also treating it like video game - using those approaches to taking down bosses.

Maybe some got removed for suspicion of what you've claimed. I was hoping for a tie. I like Eminence more, but both are great. The post did mention that they would pay attention to any that get plenty of votes. So, I can't wait for Eminence and hopefully Bookworm soon.

If previous is to go by then the voting could end about here or get about a hundred more votes before ending - quite an exciting ride~ Personally I'm for bookworm, but a result in which it and Eminence gets the same percentage of the vote would be fine as well (note sure how semblence handles those cases though) Either one would be quite enjoyable to watch their reaction to. :3

2024-07-11 16:39:13 +0000 UTCYup, the first three season do a similar thing in Ascendence of a Bookworm as the first two season do in Re:Zero. They are both in the introduction stages of their 30+ LN stories, in comparison to Eminence in Shadow for one which will soon publish light novel number 5.

I like listening to it in japanese through audible (it exists in the us marketplace as well), but now the english version is being produced now, the second volume just came out (although not accessible yet in audible for some reason, had to go through bookwalker).

2024-07-10 22:14:52 +0000 UTCFor those who doesn't know: Ascendence of a Bookworm is a great story with a bit of a slow buildup. Sadly the anime is a bit on the low-production side, probably due to the initial parts of the LNs being very child-friendly. That said it is still a great adaption to a story that blooms out with topknotch worldbuilding and deceptive political intrigue. The source material is competing with the likes of Re:Zero and Mushoku Tensei in quality, and the upcoming season 4 is where the series starts to ramp up for real. Hopefully the adaptation ramps up as well.. :3
