BoJack is one of the biggest “it gets better” shows. The first season is way too enmeshed with adult animated comedy tropes, the cutaway gags, jokes going in too long, etc. this starts to change around episode 7-8 of season one, and is fully excised by the end of season 2. The show ends up being one of my favorite pieces media ever, but it takes some upfront investment.
