With Rin's mother's boyfriend from the last episode having red hair, I actually find myself hoping that the boyfriend is the father. I would much prefer Grandpa just claimed Rin as his because he was trying to do what was best for Rin than him getting it on with someone who was a teenage employee at the time. Though the show doesn't ever have to address it, since the slices of life we are getting are far more enjoyable than the drama surrounding Rin's birth could ever be.
