OIC. That's really interesting! I don't know the history of Japan at all, so (after I verify, because I definitely will verify when I've got the time) if true, that's really interesting and good to know, thank you! Fascinating. 2023-06-20 12:10:07 +0000 UTCThrough the rise and duration of Imperial/Fascist Japan, the Japanese army had a ton of issues with military chain of command. Units, commanders, or generals would often go outside of orders to do whatever they personally wanted in this time period in pursuit of glory. Assassination, deciding to invade Taiwan, a soldiers rebellion are just some of the examples. So that a unit would go off and do this is very believable.
