I agree, it's still quite good and purposeful.

We're talking about a show where the main character has spent much of his adult life hiding behind his sit-com persona. So we watch those around him live those hackneyed scenarios while he has to struggle with real life. Where some see filler, I see world building and character development. The idea that two-thirds of this season is forgettable is laughable.

2023-06-27 05:08:18 +0000 UTCDefinitely get how you're feeling. After the high of late season 1, early season 2 feels like a bit of regression with it feeling kinda similar to early season 1. I will say it's still very much worthwhile though, and isn't for nothing.

That's not to say it's bad, it's just I think season one does some really great set-up but then we get into season 2 and it starts to coast a bit. Again, it's not bad, but when compared to the highs of future seasons and even the end of this one, these next couple episodes do drag a little.
