I've never seen a bad isekai yet to be fair the worsts I've seen where at least fun entertainment. (Mushoku, re:zero, reincarnated as a slime, shield hero, konsuba, spider isekai, SAO, isekai ojisan, reincarnated as a sword, Hataage! Kemono Michi, Bofuri, Overlord, Iruma-kun, mom and her two shot kill, Tanya the evil. I Might have watch most of the top tier ones but still sh*tting on a whole genre just because you saw only the worst ones is stupid. There is a dumb amount of small bad shojo, seinen and other too.

To be fair, the first 2-3 episodes of vending machine were quite enjoyable. It was more a series about the vending machine culture in japan than an isekai. I loved the bits where we were just shown random scenarios in front of it. But then they tried to go more serious with it and i lost interest

If you can't handle a series that hits uncomfortable things and subjects that are delicate and touchy such as slavery for example it isn't a show for you. This series tackles a lot of touchy subjects and makes the character realistic in the fact that they can be terrible people but at the same time have growth and goodness still in them. Its basically an amazing series that tackles things people in today's society are too "snowflake" to go for. Its very realistic in the aspects of its flawed messed up characters but also the story and how everything plays out is great. Not trying to overhype it for you. Its important to go into the series with an open mind and not want to leave after something uncomfortable happens. If you can't respect a realistic and flawed character going through learning and redemption from being a terrible person you shouldn't watch it. You will just hate the characters too much.

Let them cook bro. Yes the first arc wasn't amazing, but let's be real, no one really cares about that part. Even if you were looking forward to it, don't tell me you care more about that than the university arc. And as a former animator myself, I can tell you that the quality immediately skyrocketed as soon as that arc began. So I don't think there's anything to worry about.

It's really hard to decide between "Mushoku TENSEI S2!" and "Mushoku Tensei II: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu". Also, I don't really get all this hype about "The Currently Airing Sequel Season to the Hit-Isekai Anime of Winter 2021 Mushoku Tensei". I mean, "Mushoku TENSEI S2!" is CLEARLY so much better.

Well as they always did, they open for voting some pools, and some others they decide what they wanna watch. It's always like that, and this time they are choosing what to watch, the pool was just a joke. They did the same with Oshi no Ko. This is the 10th pool this year, and they just choose themselves what to watch 2 times, the other 8 times were real pools. I see no reason to complain.

Yeah I freelance as an in-between animator and sometimes do key animation for small shots, but nothing serious, I haven't worked on any Japanese productions, but your right about not being able to live up to the first season in terms of quality, and I know a lot of animes second seasons never really do, MP100 i think had great production in all 3 seasons, but that's a rare thing to happen I agree. I think for me is I love the story and world so much it was just disappointing a little is all. I didn't think people would get so offended lol

@Attariq I haven't watched the second season yet, but I'm interested in what you mean when you say "I'm an animator". Have you freelanced in the industry before? The last show I remember having a good production schedule was MP100 III, and even then the season couldn't quite live up the previous because the veterans were mostly busy on other shows (still a banger season, don't get me wrong). As long as the industry doesn't choose a fundamentally different approach, wanting every season of an anime to live up to it's potential is literally impossible. More and more anime keep airing every season, there aren't enough animators, the animators who are working on something can't invest enough time, and budget gets dried up by having to bring in dozens of studios just to get an episode finished on time.

Actually none of those reasons lol, the story is still very interesting in terms of the base story, but I'm an animator... And the shows quality of animation, pacing, and dialogue are all kinda out of sync, and took a big dip this season. I'm sure there are reasons. But it's hard to watch when even animators can't keep characters (on model), and a lot of this has to do with time constraints and which studios do the in betweens, but yeah just disappointed considering how good the first season was

Mushoku tensei is a story with some questionable things in it the but most anime does go in to it with a open mind for it being fiction. Taking in the story world building and you are bound to enjoy it.

Why disappointed in S2? No hate, just curious. Are you a light novel reader who doesn't like the adaptation or an anime only who doesn't like the show's new slice-of-life direction? Edit: Both are valid. I'm a light novel reader, and I didn't like some of the things skipped. Plus, this part of the novel is my least favourite.

I'm gonna try watching "Mushoku Tensei" someday, because so many people are watching it & I'm curious if it's any good after all, though I've heard negative things about it. Not voting in the poll, though I'm tempted to just for fun, but yeah, I think it's high time I've checked this anime out. If I do and I like it, I'll definitely watch first season's reactions (and then the second season's). XD
