I don't see why they should keep anything at all out. That is the issue with anime. They skip out on portions of the content.

I guess the reason they had to keep this in is because otherwise rudeus future relationship with the two would not make sense. And with relationship I mean that because he "dominated" them he is kind of their pack leader now.
