no, Shah, you're wrong. The fight was about resurrection, yes, Yuji's resurrection. If yuji won the fight, sukuna would resurrect yuji unconditionally (aside from the conditions of the fight of course) and that would have been that. If sukuna won the fight, he would resurrect yuji but also enforce a pact with 3 rules 1. Chanting ''enchain'' will give sukuna control over yuji's body for 60 seconds 2. Sukuna cannot hurt anyone during those 60 seconds. 3. Yuji does not remember this pact. And, as we know, sukuna won the fight. Instantly. Go watch episode 6 again or go read chapter 11.
