He was introduced with the original 40 character sheet of the villagers in the manga but I also can't remember if he was ever in the anime before this episode.

2023-11-05 02:00:48 +0000 UTCI think they're getting confused with the fact that Ishigami Village is, in fact, the 'splinter' group, formed when some of the astronauts left to find the Japanese mainland, and Treasure Island is where they actually touched down.

The show mentioned criminals having been banished from the village before in the beginning… but there was no indication that these were anything but rare and individual cases… Misremembered?
