2023-11-20 17:36:56 +0000 UTCwhile i understand being frustrated by nana, she's by far nowhere an idiot or a nonce, she's very self aware, and you see glimpses of it in her inner monologue numerous times. she's just going through an adulting part of life, and budgeting is an aspect. when ur broke and feel like ur going to be homeless, it makes sense to call ur friends or bf for help...and i feel like nana k is always held accountable for ignoring shoji's issues, but shoji does the exact same to nana! he has been feeling off the minute hachi turned down sex to be with nana, and has tuned out of the relatioship. just as much as hachi doesn't check up on him, he doesn't do for her..and he+others pushed her to be independent, which takes TIME, but he doesn't allow for an adjusting process before flirting with another girl. hachi, while she may be learning, is not an idiot, and instead is a victim of her own decisions she makes as a "Go with the flow" type of person. i'd recommend to not make assumptions on her character until you know her more bc hachi and shoji are very similar in their personalities, shoji has just lived in tokyo longer. mind you sachiko is also a carbon copy of hachi in uni, so it shows how shoji wants the more dependent innocent uni version of hachi back...
