Boys Planet Ep. 3 (part one)

the first half of this episode has given me emotional whiplash

Boys Planet Ep. 3 (part one)

I think people didn’t choose park gun Wook because he was seen as aggressive, maybe people thought he was going to be difficult to work with?? But I don’t know if there’s have been any trainee from the show who has spoken about it. I do find it strange nobody in the high ranks picked him since he was really good from the start. Gun wook was previously in another survival show called “wild idol” in that show he was able to showcase he’s rapping and dancing skills more than what he did in boys planet but he didn’t debut because the judges often called him insecure (he was much younger) that’s why in boys planet he came with all the confidence and even intimidated the other trainees.

evil editing is the WORST

So apparently it was a big misunderstanding between krystian and kamden. Krystian was translating for the other Chinese trainees, but as kamden couldn't understand, he thought they were ignoring him. Krystian has the kindest heart and has since apologized and become friends with most of the people from the show

i cannot stop spewing fun facts because i have problems with learning when to shut up but i know you're a fan of enhypen so i thought i'd mention: jung hojin from k group burn it up is really good friends with sunoo, as is park hanbin (leader of k group hot sauce) with the blue hair :) (this is my last comment i swear to god)

._.Sage._.

little fun fact to add onto this because i think it's funny: during the star level tests, they reversed this one guy's reaction when jongwoo pretended to kiss jiwoong to make him look homophobic i guess???? idek but he was actually smiling and they reversed his reaction to make it look like he frowned LMAO

this is pretty much common sense so you probably already know, but i saw so many people fall for it before so i feel like it's still worth saying: the amount of evil editing on this show is insane, and if there is a scene that makes certain people look especially bad, that is probably on purpose on mnet's part. in general, i would take everything with a grain of salt and give people the benefit of the doubt, because so many of the problems we see can be boiled down to language barriers/miscommunication, crazy editing, and minor conflicts they solved on their own. like, later on in the show they tried to make it look like these two trainees had problems with each other, but in real life they are very close friends now and are about to debut in a group together, so again, a lot of the drama that is shown is fake, misrepresented, or overblown.

I think the Star Masters evaluated in two separate rooms mainly to save time with filming. I personally liked that they reevaluated the rankings (although I do get where you're coming from!) for the reason they stated hehe. So excited to rewatch Boys Planet with you! 💓

I would crash out so quickly if I was Kamden

I would recommend watching the full signal song performance video on youtube at some point, even if just on your own time! idk why they didn't put it in the show (they showed like 15 seconds of it but there's a lot more than we see in this episode), but i think it's nice to be able to see what they've been spending so much of the past 2 episodes on and it's a good performance :D also, without spoiling too much, it's kind of become part of zb1's lore (not like concept/storyline lore but like personal group history lore) lmao

for zhang hao's name pronunciation: for zhang, in korean i think it's more like a hard j sound but in general it's kind of a soft z/j sound (the best example i can think of is like the j in "je t'aime" lol). most of the time people just call him hao :)

The aju nice part with the high note is SeungKwan singing He and Dk are the main vocals of Seventeen

omg this episode is the beginning of haobin centerz lore, this is the start of an era

Fun fact since you said that gunwook is a master manipulator he was actually in a debate club and he won third place in South Korea so yeah he’s good at convincing and arguing 😭

yes omg I came here to say this, the group obviously did have some real issues but mnet made it look so much worse than it really was 😬 I remember someone did a whole study of that first group meeting and realized they had edited Krystian and some of the other Chinese trainees' voices over parts where they weren't actually speaking so it looked like they were interrupting Kamden when they really weren't 😭 it's also kind of ridiculous that mnet expected us to believe that the two fluent English speakers of the group weren't translating anything for Kamden to understand the convo when we can literally hear Krystian speaking English during that conversation at some points??? I just remember seeing a bunch of people hating on Krystian, Ricky, and Brian for not speaking English to translate for Kamden like girl they obviously did?? it just got cut because mnet loves a villain 😭 the fact that they didn't let any of these groups have translators when some of them barely spoke a word of any common language with each other is actually infuriating to me. every time I look at the G group aju nice team I thank the lord they had ichika and his insane ability to speak every language because otherwise idk how they would have figured anything out at the speed that they did without his help.

._.Sage._.

i hate it so much in these shows whenever the judges tell them harshly not to cry like that like what are they supposed to do in that moment 😭 i would actually start bawling

i didn't watch this live (i'm only watching it for the first time this past month) so i could totally be wrong but from what i've seen people saying, the whole kamden/krystian situation was edited to look waaay worse than it actually was 😭 so mnet apparently didn't allow them to have translators help them communicate, so krystian was basically attempting to live translate, while also the other trainees were trying to voice their opinions, which is super easy to edit to make it look like they were intentionally leaving kamden out and being rude 😭 overall while it 1000% could've been handled better by the trainees i think it was just a really frustrating and uncomfortable situation for all of them to be in and fuck mnet lol. i feel for kamden though like yikes that scene is so hard to watch and i too was very upset lmao 😭 the language barriers in the G group as a whole set them up to be at such a disadvantage from a teamwork standpoint from jump honestly
