May Bonus Panels!

Thanks for being so patient as always! Here are the bonus panels for the last four comics (which also extend a bit into April as well, oops)!

With "Friends", I wanted to revisit the restaurant and give Duncan another solo(kinda) comic, since it had been a while since he was in the spotlight! I did a few touch ups on the Diner's colors and made Duncan WAY less green. I'm tempted to make a few comics that touch more on his waiter friends, so if you see a Calem comic soon you know why.

The second comic, "Bonk" has a few details that I love so much but I don't think literally anybody else in the entire world cares. In the first panel, there's a super subtle black gradient on the right side to make Duncan pop more out of the frame, on panel 2 the birch tree in the back is put in shadow so Duncan's motion lines are easier to see and behind the text where it says bonk, the bushes extended outside of their lineart. They're such pointless little changes but they make me so unreasonably happy that they're there. Also, you can see Kip and Mason talking in the background!

For "Admit," which has a different caption on Twitter I think, this was made the week prior to my finals I believe so I picked it since it was a comic I knew I could make pretty fast. I was very close to swapping Eddie's dialogue to say "I've been playing competitive chess again" since I generally try to avoid real-world references, but a sleep deprived Chervil made the decision at 2 AM and here we are.

"Reminder" was actually meant for Mother's Day, which I missed by two weeks, but that's okay! I think the comic is still really cute. Many folks have pointed it out, but there's a little nod to the comic, "I Think I Like You" in the background, since they were so kind as to slip a Duncan cameo in one of their episodes! I'm so proud of how the colors came out in this one, I think it looks so sick. The subtle fade into yellow to like visually make the background distinct from the characters and to push the contrast between the background and the purple shadows on the tree make me so happy. AND THE WAY THE RED POPS AGAINST THE SPLIT GREEN COMPLIMENT!! AHH I think it looks awesome and I'm very proud of it. Also, this is the first time that you can clearly see a feral animal in the comics!
