Sadly it's very true and the sickening part is there are a few high profile cases of nurses doing it with newborn babies! Getting money and donations is a big factor but with cases like nurses it's usually solely because when the babies go ill and need saving they can be heroes and save the day and get all the attention.

2022-02-14 07:29:32 +0000 UTCThanks Kenneth and it is a huge responsibility, the vet visits are the biggest hassle mainly because of how long the waiting without an appointment can be; the last visit was 3 hours before we could actually see someone and we don't have much a choice lol. I love how you compare your dog to General Grievous hahaha, that's way too funny.

2021-03-21 19:10:28 +0000 UTCWhat a nice guy to take in a stray dog. I found my shepherd mix in the storm drain when she was only about 4 weeks old according to the vet. She's 14 now and almost completely deaf. She's spayed so she has stress incontinence and wears washable diapers at night. The other one is a 13 year old Chihuahua who is nearly blind and has tracheal collapse, so she sounds like General Grievous walking around here. They both get medications several times a day so I can understand how time consuming it can be. I had two rescued Greyhounds from Kansas City that both had to be put down due to cancer. I think my next pet is going to be a very independent cat. Great reaction guys.

2021-03-19 22:27:55 +0000 UTCThe mom who killed her daughter most likely had a mental disorder called Munchausen syndrome by proxy. its when a caregiver makes up or causes an illness in a person they are caring for. The victims are most often kids, the elderly or disabled people. They usually do it for attention and sympathy from family, friends and the community. sometimes it's so people donate gifts and cash to them. It's also possible that the mother was a step mother who was trying to get her step kids out of the picture. Either way it's a fucked situation.
