I would say Scary Move and the sequel with the Wayan brothers... but you guys are right. Everything now a days is put in a formula... Very sad

2022-01-09 16:30:53 +0000 UTCA while ago I heard that Mel Brooks had gotten a deal to develop a new Blazing Saddles property of some sort. It looks like that this will take the form of an animated film called, "Blazing Samurai," in which Mel Brooks will co-star as one of the voice actors. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Mel has a writing credit (other than as an "original writer"), but he is one of the Exec. Producers so I'm sure he'll be able to give notes on what likes and doesn't like. There are a lot of big name actors in lead voice roles including Michelle Yeoh, Sam Jackson, Djimon Hounsou, Michael Cera, and Ricky Gervais among others. It's being directed by Rob Minkoff who directed the original Lion King in 1994.
