can I recommend the Gotham tv show, it ran for 5 seasons and was about Bruce Wayne as a kid before he became Batman. It was a fantastic show and had origin stories for Batman villains like Penguin, Riddler and Joker.

2022-09-19 12:59:57 +0000 UTCI love this movie and grew up with it. For a while this was the movie I associated Tom Hanks with, he did so go and you true believe that he's a kid. The moments I love the most are when you see his true age like when he's scared his first night in the horrible hotel, he looks genuinely terrified and crying for his mom or in scenes he clearly doesn't understand like her wanting to spend the night, he really had no idea what she was really intending that night, lol. I love his and Billy's friendship, he really was a good friend. I'm glad you guys liked this one, it's a hard one not to love. I've always liked too that it wasn't a crazy dream he had, it really happened. I like when movies don't pull the dream card to make sense of everything. I highly recommend checking out 13 Going On 30, it's a very similar plot to this but isn't a rip off either, really the only thing that is similar is that they grow up over night after wishing for it but it's a girl instead but again it's not a rip, it's great and like this movie you have a lead that really does a great job of portraying a kid in a grown woman's body but that's all I'll say about it since I wouldn't want to give anything away. It's funny, has a good message and you might even recognize some familiar faces.
