I remember seeing this in the theater with my cousin/roommate. We were in our younger 20's. Rewatching this brings back great memories. Farley was so great in this.

2023-07-22 20:52:14 +0000 UTCThis movie is so dumb but I absolutely love it. You can see how he would turn out like that, he literally had everything handed to him and got away with everything. I assume his mother died young so he never had a mother figure and his dad was always gone. He does go through a good arc and becomes more mature. It makes sense he would bond so much with the kids and it's really sweet. Eric is a great villain, to me he's similar to the villain in Happy Gilmore, where they are so awful but genuinely hilarious. I love when Eric has his awkward moments like him randomly choking on a hotdog, lol. And I have always liked that Billy didn't take over the company but gave it to someone who actually deserved it and should have gotten it in the first place. Carl was a great, nice guy and he clearly knew the most about the company. I like him going to college and becoming a teacher. Before this movie Adam was huge on SNL but this is what made him a movie star, after this his career went through the roof, hit after hit. Some fun facts, the lunch lady with the sloppy joes is actually from one of Adam's SNL skits called lunch lady land, Chris Farley played the lunch lady, it was hilarious. He really did hit the kids hard while playing dodgeball, lol. I don't know if you recognized him but the actor who played Billy's dad is also Ralphie's dad in A Christmas Story.
