Tombstone Full Movie Reaction!

Finally got it done, so many internet problems yesterday made this come even later lol.

Tombstone Full Movie Reaction!

Comments

Great reaction!! "I'm your huckleberry" I absolutely love Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday. As you mentioned, he is just so cool! I'm afraid to watch any other movies where he is portrayed because I don't want it to be ruined for me. As you started watching, I just kept saying to myself "just wait" When they first arrive in Tombstone and Wyatt slapped the dealer and said "Are you gonna do something, or just stand there and bleed" I loved your faces. That was Billy Bob Thornton by the way. There are so many great lines from this movie and you will now be included when someone says on of these lines and then "If you know, you know" The way Doc mocked Johnny Ringo after he did the fancy gun twirling was priceless. Also, the actor who played Johnny Ringo was Kyle Reese in the Terminator. He was also part of the team in Aliens and was on The Abyss as the specialist with the bomb. My absolute favorite part was when Doc showed up to duel Ringo to save Wyatt. When Johnny sees him coming assuming that it's Wyatt and then hears "I'm your huckleberry" ahhh... the look on Johnny's face was priceless again and Doc was right that he looked like someone had walked over his grave and then Johnny tried to get out of it because he knew how fast Doc was. I could watch that over and over. In Doc's last scene, he looks down and sees his bare feet and says something like it's this funny, because there was a saying in the old west about dying with your boots on.

Classic western that never gets old. Awesome

Yes! Young Guns 1 & 2 is on this level. There was a time in late eighties and early nineties that they covered historical characters in the old west and enhanced them a little as 'good guys'. In truth there wasn't much difference between good or bad during the 'civilization' of the west. Other westerns you might like is '3:10 to Yuma' (Russell Crowe, Christian Bale), 'The Quick and the Dead' (Sharon Stone, Russell Crowe, Leonardo DiCaprio). Comedy western would of course be 'Shanghai Noon & Shanghai Knights' (Jackie Chan, Owen Wilson).

If you liked this western and would like to see more great westerns, then I have to recommend my two favorite westerns of all time "Young Guns 1 & 2." These two are about Billy the kid and they make Tombstone look downright civilized. Lots of gunfights, and lots of people dead.

I grew up in the "old west" of Arizona (Southeast/Cochise County) lots of good western and Apache War era history all right there. Even Billy the Kid who was mainly known in New Mexico was held at Fort Grant but was able to escape, and fled to New Mexico, that was just up the road from my childhood house. My neck of the desert (cause we don't really have woods) has a lot of that kind of history. But, Arizona in general has a lot of cool history.

Might have to go thru it sometime because your post is the first time I saw someone talking about the place and if your grand kids think it’s cool then it must be a pretty nice place! I appreciate your insight as I’ve been deciding where to travel the next year or so. I’ll have to add it to the list. I’ve been to 30ish states so far in my 31st trip around the sun (31 years )lol lucky for me I fell in love with and married, someone who not only tolerates my rambling about historical facts, but loves to travel and learn about the country as well. So I’d say I’m very lucky lol anyway thanks for your insight and now I should watch the film :) ps if you have any other cool travel recommendations, I’m all ears!

I grew up near Tombstone, played football against their high school team every year. My high school team is actually called, "The Cowboys".. I moved away after high school, but I'm back not far from Tombstone 35 years later, it's still the same small tourist town. It is pretty cool to visit. My grandkids love it. That headstone about Les is real.

I new there was something devious you two were up too! Or rather, we just assume two brothers are getting into trouble with aliens all the time lol

JP

Gotta make sure I start paying those aliens more. 😂

I was about to claim this was late, then these men in black were flashing these devices and now I remember that it’s always supposed to release today! And there definitely has never been aliens, for some reason they wanted me to know that…(okay men in black references aside, this is awesome. Thanks for going thru all the trouble to get that up! Tombstone is worth it. It’s a must watch. )
