status update

Works has been going well on the new game. It's mildly depressing how much easier renpy is to work with. To be fair, that probably has a lot to do with me using rpgmaker for things it wasn't designed for. Overall things are going well. I've got 950 images rendered for it already, with more incoming. I'm really enjoying the writing in this new game as well. I feel like you all will really notice the improvement that has happened with my writing since I started making second class.
I'll give everyone another update in about a week, where I will hopefully have a ballpark for the release date.

wow.. we have something in common. : ) I did some of the pixel art for HC. Getting the hero out of their armor and about a dozen other spritesheets. Sadly all of them have been replaced by now. I'm still a mod on their discord if you ever want to say Hi to NM and conash or something.

2020-11-18 01:47:49 +0000 UTCH-games naturally. Although I had an idea for a casino one. Something with stats and randomization. A side view look in the day and life of a pet/slave owner. Not so much a VN. GMS is pretty open to making those kinds of things. I can't even imagine trying to make it on RPGM. Not that it is all bad. Harem collecter, one of the other main games I follow is still going strong with RPGM.

I tried getting into it, but I couldn't make it do what I wanted. renpy isn't for me so I'm attempting to make something using game maker studio. Both are complex, but both offer a lot more freedom. Anyway, it is good hearing from you. : ) I love the sexy walk. I'd be fearful of that woman walking towards me.

2020-11-17 20:52:07 +0000 UTCyeah, it really makes a difference with design intention, but rpgm allows you to make full use of equipment/clothing options and do something unique. I wouldn't compare the two for the medium, but rather the creativeness of your ideas. Second Class is most definitely a gem and you've grown a lot as a dev and writer since you began. Looking forward to seeing all the gems you create
