Poll discussion & ABDL bug
Added 2022-05-03 20:58:46 +0000 UTCHey everyone,
I want to talk a bit about the results of the poll, but before that I want to mention a new bug that was found. Currently, the only way to receive the new ABDL outfit and it's accompanying scenes is to have the pink diaper, but not be wearing it. This is not intended. The scene should trigger as long as you've received the pink diaper, I just made a mistake when I programmed it. Since this is a relatively minor bug, I'm going to wait to post a bugfix until the public version drops on Friday. That way if more bugs are discovered, I can fix them all at once. If you want to see the ABDL content, just make sure you have the pink diaper, but aren't wearing it.
Now on to the results of the poll. After combining the Patreon and SubStar results, the votes come out to:
32% Are not bothered by it, but don't want to see it happen
53% Are not bothered by it, and want to see it happen
15% Are bothered by it, and it mildly affects their enjoyment
I'd be lying if I said this didn't surprise me. I put the "want to see it happen" option on the poll thinking some people would vote for it, but I never would have guess it would be the most popular option. It makes me a little nervous that I wasn't fully clear what that option meant, since these percentages would make death the single most popular fetish amongst my patrons. If true, that's pretty cool, but it feels unlikely. Please comment below, if you feel like you misunderstood what I meant.
What I think I'm going to do is add a Snuff/Death switch with three different settings. Off, on but just mentions of it, and on with full scenes including it. The off setting will replace her Killing him, with her hurting him and him running away. The on setting will keep things roughly how they are now, and the on with full scenes setting will add a flashback scene showing it happen. The game will pose the settings as questions that are easier to understand.
To be clear, even if you turn death on, his death will be accidental. Your landlord would not intentional seriously hurt someone.
Sorry about all of the posts this week. I normally try and avoid spamming you all, but things tend to get busy right after a major release.

He would still be your father, you're just not related to your landlord. And it will be optional. Version 0.955 added the ability to disable mentions of death.

2022-05-07 17:01:39 +0000 UTCHi, I'm new here and whatever you guys enjoy, I don't want to judge but I'm a bit confused about the direction the game seems to be going. Second class is a hard femdom game with a lot of different fetishes and it has a lot of noncon content already. That's all ok but if it had a snuff tag I wouldn't have started it in the first place... And I know most people play it as incest fantasy but that part means nothing to me and then what is this "man" supposed to be? My previous tenant that my landlord accidentally killed to play with me after that...? Such a story feels wrong to me in an erotic game. But as long as you can turn it off, that's fine by me, but hopefully the game won't slowly turn into an orgy of violence.
2022-05-07 16:52:31 +0000 UTCEven if you had all of the fetishes disabled, I think you'd struggle to describe my games as "Vanilla" lol. Still, as I stated above, it's just going to be a fetish switch like the others. That way people who are bothered by it can avoid it, but I can delve even deeper into it for the people who like it. I'm really excited to make your father's death scene. It will allow me to really let loose. You can expect it to be the most extreme scene in the game.

2022-05-04 17:10:00 +0000 UTCYeah, that's basically the conclusion I came to above. It's going to be a question posed to the player like other fetish switches.

2022-05-04 15:27:03 +0000 UTCThere is so much in this game that is optional, why not just have it be one of the questions at the start? "Do you want to hear about the fate of your father? contains snuff" some people want to hear about it because of the story and character building. People like me really only care about what happens with the protagonist and aren't interested in knowing motives. We rather have the mystery than the drama.

2022-05-04 14:10:54 +0000 UTCI agree with everything Boost31 wrote above. Furthermore the father's death could also answer the question what happens to recalcitrant males. However, it's up to you to decide which direction your games gonna take and if you want to develop rather plain vanilla porn games or sophisticated femdom games without restraint (I think the results of your recent poll speak a rather clear language).

2022-05-04 08:34:31 +0000 UTCFair enough. This is definitely a factor at play. I understand people not wanting to think about death in their porn game, but I feel it's pretty important to the plot. I'm both excited for, and nervous about making this scene. It's going to be far more emotional then what I normally make.

2022-05-03 21:22:09 +0000 UTCIt's not about sex, it's about the story. The father's death is the main motive of why the landlady treats the protagonist differently from the others household. It left her with deep psychological scars and it effects can be seen in the game. So I want to see what happened, and it might be a good warning for the MC to know what can happen to him in the future if he doesn't choose very carefully his fate.

2022-05-03 21:17:49 +0000 UTCRegardless of what setting you chose, Eric will be freaked out by what happened. He'll probably talk about it with his love interest, and that might provide extra motivation for him to move out quickly.

2022-05-03 21:17:27 +0000 UTCI've updated the post above to be more clear. No matter what setting you select, his death will be accidental.

2022-05-03 21:16:01 +0000 UTCNo need to apologize for the posts. If anything it keeps me more excited and in anticipation for the next release. While I did vote for the 'not bothered but don't want to see it happen', it is the majority's decision and I won't mind it at the end of the day. This suggestion is a really good idea to satisfy those who are into snuff and provide an alternative for those who are uncomfortable or aren't into it. Everyone wins... except for Eric's dad. That being said, will it still be manslaughter or accidental killing for the on setting? The wording made it seem like intentional murder could become a thing so I wanted to get a confirmation. Also, apologies if it's already been answered thoroughly, but how will the deepened backstory affect the other characters outside of Eric's household (i.e. Sarah, Kylie, Lily, Susan, and even Justin)?
