Doesn't it depend on the story and situation you are drawing? It makes sense to draw a lot of bodies on a battle field, but for an execution a single person is enough. I think before you create something you should decide what story you want to tell, what scene(s) you want to show and how to put a focus on them. On the other hand an.execution can also be a mass execution or a battle can also focus on a single person. I think you should do it how you want to, so that you enjoy drawing.

2024-01-29 21:58:22 +0000 UTCI like multiple people on a page. It helps support the story and show the scale of the carnage. Maybe you could do a mix? Draw single characters for most of the pages, but multiple characters for the pages that you want to have impact (like the climax)?
