I think it's a good time to bring up, Negan was a gym teacher, he taught high school. It's something he mentioned to Gabriel during his 'confession' in season 7 (?). He also mentioned last season that him and Lucille had wanted kids at some point. So him protecting and caring about kids is very much in line with everything we know about him. Also makes his mannerisms and sometimes childish behavior makes sense when you remember this guy is a high school gym teacher who acts like every man gym teacher I ever had. Which i love personally! They also considerably toned him down from the comics in terms of 'evil' behavior, which I feel like was the right choice here. I just feel like I can hear Negan yelling encouraging things at kids while they run a lap or something, especially post war Negan.

2025-05-04 03:54:04 +0000 UTCI think Kingdom did get attacked in season 8, the saviours attacked each community except Hilltop with the firebombing. With Daryl snd ezekiel though, I think it's implied that during the months after henrys death Carol has been with him and not ezekiel. She's sought comfort in daryl instead of her husband and ezekiel wants daryl gone so he can grieve with her more. Unfair and selfish, but understandable imo. Carols is to "blame" for the marriage falling apart and her lack of going to ezekiel to work through things.
