Every season except season 2 has 2 openings and they really set the tone for that part of the season and can give you a clue about what to expect. Secondly, to clear up any confusion on Armin's yelling about avenging the suicidal bastard in episode 17, he was talking about Eren. If the female titan's goal is to capture Eren, him yelling that she already killed him made her pause because that would mean she killed what she was looking for. It took me on my 3rd rewatch to get it lol. Great reactions yet again guys, I've been binging since I found your channel!

Mikasa blindly follows him bc they are close so she does have personal feelings tied into it. Not everyone wants to put their trust and hope into something or someone thatβs not even guaranteed without knowing his own resolve. That he wonβt waste their efforts and lives by giving up or abandoning his duty bc sadly all the pressure is on him whether he likes it or not.
