I’m fairly certain that the “voice on the radio” (Andrew Lincoln, btw) was just an amalgamation of the news of the world that Tyreese and Sasha’s father listened to on the radio when they were children. Tyreese said that their father didn’t turn it off or turn away because he felt that hearing it, facing it, even though it didn’t affect them directly and he could do nothing to help, was “the high cost of living.” Tyreese, gentle giant that he is, no longer belongs in the world as it now. He is too sweet, too sensitive to pay the price. He doesn’t want to and so he had to let go. Beautiful episode. Beautiful reaction. Thank you!
