So when Jessie asked Rick if he would do this for anyone and he said no, I think it’s implied that neither of them were including the members of Rick’s own group. Cause it’s kind of clear how protective he is with the only people he identifies with and is loyal to. And up to that point he didn’t allow himself to get too close enough to anyone new to him in that town besides Jessie.
