You ever start something, and don’t finish it? I talked last month a bit about the things I didn’t get back to, but wanted to dedicate some time to go over all the things I didn’t get done(and won’t likely get done by the time the year ends). This isn’t to put myself down or anything! Just to look over what I started, and why I stopped. Maybe you’ll relate to the struggles behind them or realize it’s why you stopped something too. There are about 4 ‘major’ ones I can think of.
Making an Ad for FurAffinity! Spoke about this more on this post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/58266780
This one has the best chances of getting done in the future- I mean I already have it started, it’s literally just me making the ad itself, and getting it approved and posted up. Heck it’s even possible I finish it before the year ends? …If I can work through my fear. That’s essentially why I stopped this project where it is now, out of nervousness, self consciousness, and worry. ‘What if I do this and it doesn’t work out?’ I seem to think to myself. But that’s a worry I will need to set aside to complete it! My pal Macxi made one in just a few days and it kinda snapped me to reality that I can have this task done pretty quickly if I just did it.
Making an RPG Maker Game! Spoke about it on here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/48304483
In this project’s case, it was something light hearted to get into, when I found myself with more time to spend creative energy. I kinda got onto cooking this year instead, and games I play have been with friends, so I had less time to devote to making this. Although, psychologically I realize I got caught on having to do writing for an RPG, gosh n goodness, haha. Writing’s not something I tend to enjoy so it makes sense I ended up avoiding getting past that step. I did end up making a map and the character classes for Artie and Monty in this, buut aah. I’ll have to be particularly inspired to come back to this one.
Half of You- A Full Painting of Monty:

I started this in the summer, a month following the ‘Colour Communicator’ piece I did of Artie, which you may find here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42053544/
It’s pretty rare I ever stop working on a picture; this year? Not as rare, haha. I got as far as the drawing as you can see here, but I just didn’t feel up to going through the process to color it and make it as amazing as it’d need to be. Will I revisit it? Euhh, I’m likely to restart it from the ground up, maybe. I just wasn’t as mentally inspired for this one as I was for Artie’s. Sorry Monty! :[
A storyboard sequence for Hdalby33/AKA Callum!
This was something I’d began at the start of this year, but couldn’t keep up with. Whenever working on a sequential piece, I can’t seem to go for too long before I burn out on it. It’s a bit weird for me, since growing up I made a lot of long form content like comics for the first half of my art journey. OH, and if you’re wondering, this sequence pairs with this lovely story he made for me here:

And that’s that! I’ve found quite a handful of doodles on my computer too, but those are much more personal, ahaha. But yeah, these are some things I started, and hadn’t finished this year. I don’t languish in what’s been incompleted, but I do try to finish what I start! Not always successful in that, but that’s okay! We don’t have the time and focus to fixate on everything we’d like to do.
