Very important information -> C&G-STUDIO MoCap structure
Added 2020-03-09 18:58:55 +0000 UTCWarning - A bit longer post BUT very important -
Our target is to create nothing but the best dancing / erotic MoCaps avalible out there. we have gained enough experience now to relaize that creating motion captures is not meant to be "best or nothing". Neverless the "best or nothing" target is our highest standart we want to archive and we are working for.
In the past two months we noticed a dilemma we couldn´t find out that easy. We fight the battle between quality vs. quantity. Are we supposed to publish as much contend as possible to satisfy our patreons or are we supposed to invest more time in less many mocaps and make them outstanding / detailed / best performed / bar raising?
What do you think?
For us the answer came by checking the time management of the whole C&G-Crew. Chrizzy, Nathalie and Gato have standart full time jobs. Gato has to work even longer hours sometimes. For Chrizzy and Nathalie performing the dances isn´t significant time consumpting. For Gato it is simply a second full time job. There is no "life" in between than his first and his second job, the studio. Besides of that even if the post processing of one MoCap takes over 30 hours a week we have to admit that in some cases we aren´t even satisfied with the end product/result and wish to be able to spend more time editing rather than publishing. Even if we get huge posetive Feedback. we know it could have been better. Because of the complexity we aren´t even able to promote us well and/or create MoCaps for public or even promo-videos. Just every 2-3 months we produce a promo. And every 1-2 months we release a public MoCap.
You could say that the potential of this studio is somehow "chained" by the circumstances of not enough avalible time due the simple fact of a financial need to survive.
But there is a way out of this misery we talked a lot about in the team. Now we want to introduce it to you. Our plan is to make a self rating system beginning with the next released MoCap. So this rating comes with the levels A to C. The levels stand out for the quality/ complexity of the published MoCap. In detail it means:
********************************************************************************************************
Level C: Simple MoCap / might contain small faults or tracking issues /No complex lightning /simple movements / no recognizable or jsut a small choreography /simple room and environment / no or minimum of triggered events and buttons
Level B: Simple or more complex MoCap / Exceptional small faults or tracking issues wich were unable to get rid off / recognizable choreography or show/ atmospheric lightning or a small light show / good or perfect fitting environment / fitting triggered events, buttons and player freedoms
Level A: complex MoCap / no tracking issues or faults / perfectly fitting choreography or show / complex lightning or light show / perfectly fitting and detailed environment / maximum of fitting triggered events, buttons and player freedoms according to the MoCap
********************************************************************************************************
Our target is simply to prduce Level A MoCaps only. But thats simply not possible because of the reasons above. This rating system is supposed to help us and you to follow a little bit our workflow / opinions / time management and the overall development of the studio. More Level A MoCaps means we had more time left for the studio while Level C shows you troubles we have publishing more MoCaps for you but try our best to keep our promises.
Basically there is a huge step out and a vision to create Level A MoCaps only. Gato needs to quit his job and starts working full time in this studio. He mentioned carefully that he needs the 600 Patreons border crossed to make his dream come true and work in the studio only.
This is also a shoutout to all of our Patreons. We not only want to survive. We will NOT stop creating great scenes / MoCaps and we will never "ghost" away leaving you alone hoping for more contend that never comes.
If you are willing, if you like what we do, you are impressed and believe in quality contend so you want to have only Level A contend and think this studio is able to get more and more professional than why not promote a little bit? Make some videos of our MoCaps if you want to. Mention our work and try to show the world what we are doing. You are totally free to go and we need every single voice badly.
Thank you for reading and taking your time and thanks to everybody supporting us!

2020-03-10 18:41:41 +0000 UTCThank you for your feedback! Yes we see our Patreons in general tend to want more personal MoCaps than pure dancing ones. We know it and for sure there are some really neat MoCaps coming up in the future we have already the plans for. On the other hand Chrizzy is the leading dancer and she loves pure dancing too. So basically we need to do both in general =D

2020-03-10 18:41:09 +0000 UTCYou are right on that one. Althought the people tend to exchange the model there is still the MoCap wich has to be well done and maybe the light show too. Yes the struggle of hight and size is a real problem hard to handle but we have learned to keep the sizes as much in standart as possible to be more ranged

2020-03-10 18:33:19 +0000 UTCYou got a point there. Following this logic means that if we proceed gaining experience and reduce post procession there will be eg 10 MoCaps with a workamount of 30 hours. Thats quient impossible. The time needed for a MoCap strongly depends on the MoCap itself and there are many things we are already on the maximum possible speed processing. Well just imagine Mr. Martin would have thought after his first book "hmm maybe I speed things up and leave out some details". I have a doubt that his Saga would have ever been such a great success. Would you still love the first author if you know he could have been way better after he dropped 5 books of lower quality? Maybe you would look for an other author creating similar books and where you get the feeling he really loves what he doeas in detail. Somehow you are right but on the other hand running a studio means also make the best possible and develop with every release. So maybe for now a rating system makes sense for us.

2020-03-10 18:17:15 +0000 UTCIt is somewhere near Level A but still Level B we think

2020-03-10 18:09:04 +0000 UTCI was just thinking about all this, and I agree with the above. I know there's a temptation as you get more and more experienced to want to push the boundaries and get more and more intricate, have more complex scenes, etc. I actually love the early scenes you have, I just d/l'ed "Model Presentation" and think it's awesome. I'd be content with solo dances in simple settings. Follow your muse(s), of course, but if you're asking my input, I'd love to see more where it's like you're at a strip club, the booty shake #4 is probably my all time favorite, so twerk and solo dance is what I like

2020-03-10 13:44:45 +0000 UTCOne reason you may NOT want to over focus on quality is because most of us change the dancing model at the start of the dance. The changed character can be taller, shorter, different boob sizes, ect. This naturally caused little problems that you can't really fix.

2020-03-10 04:08:38 +0000 UTCI think you guys are doing such a great job. Hard to criticize. And if you guys need more personal time, I think you should take it. My personal preference is the single dancer mocap with good light that way I can crank up the settings.

2020-03-09 21:41:16 +0000 UTCI definitly perfer the quality option. It's what sets C&G apart.

2020-03-09 21:28:25 +0000 UTCI prefer quantity over quality because each mocap scene is like a book. It takes a very long time to write a book, but much less time to read it. And after you read the book, how many times will you read it again, ever? Mocap dance - 2 times? 5 times? Then you go read someone else's book while you wait for your favorite author to finish writing the next one! You spend 30 hours a week x many weeks (120 hours?) processing a mocap that plays for 10 minutes. If you say DONE after 30 hours (no matter how happy YOU are with it) and move on to the next one. After 120 hours, you have 40 minutes, not 10, AND you will learn how to be better processing, faster. So 30 hours becomes 20, and then 120 hours of work = 60 hours of play. Making it perfect every time just teaches you to be slow, like George R. R. Martin.
